Synchronized Takeover

Table of Contents

Introduction

This is very easy to use Synchronized Takeover with click to float feature Template.

User experience

User opens the webpage and sees a 1010x150 top ad and two 180x700 ads on the left and right sides of the content. On click, a 1010x750 floating stage appears. The floating banner can offer additional video or other rich media experience. The banner accommodates a link to the predefined landing page. The ad maintains this size until the “Close” button is clicked.

Creative assets

The following items are to be delivered by a creative agency:

  • An asset for initial 1010x150 stage banner and two 180x700 stage banners for left and right
sides. It could be images or HTML5 files.
  • Video player (floating stage) needs a poster and MP4/WEBM format video files (it is recommended to have more than one video file type).
  • (Optional) A 1010x750 posters for video, if there will be a video wall (the wall will be black
before playing the video if no poster will be provided).
  • The backup images (PNG/JPEG) are required (set in additional assets). In case the browser is very old and doesn't support HTML5, the backup panel image will be shown and clickTAGBackup will be used for landing page.
  • Banner asset containing manifest.json file and HTML file zipped together with images, scripts
    and other material.

NOTE: manifest.json file and HTML file should be in the root directory of the .zip file.

Video Component

NOTE: In order to use Adform components for HTML, it is necessary to define global preloadQueue array, where you push all the wanted components to preload before script execution and to load Adform.DHTML.js

INFO: Please refer to the Video Player component for more detailed information on component setup and behavior.

Manifest.json file

  • Manifest.json file should define the ad dimensions and the HTML file which is used as a banner source.
  • HTML file should include Adform HTML library which enables the banner to receive a clickTAG variable:
    <script src="https://s1.adform.net/banners/scripts/rmb/Adform.DHTML.js"></script>
