Expandable

Table of Contents

Introduction

This is a highly customizable and very easy to use Expandable Single File template.

User experience

The first interactive panel of the ad is loaded on the initial visit. The 3D masthead automatically spins through all four panels and returns to the first one. The user can interact or view the panel as any standard 980x400 interactive placement by clicking on the predefined areas on the right and left sides that allow the user to move to the next or previous panel. On panel change, the ad expands to 1200x620 creating a 3D view. The ad accommodates links to predefined landing pages.

Creative assets

The following items are to be delivered by a creative agency:

  • One 980x400 PNG/JPEG image per each 3D panel.
  • Banner assets containing manifest.json file and HTML file zipped together with images, scripts and other material.

NOTE: manifest.json file and HTML file should be in the root directory of the .zip file.

Manifest.json file

  • Manifest.json file should define the ad dimensions and the HTML file which is used as a banner source.
  • HTML file should include Adform HTML library which enables the banner to receive a clickTAG variable:
    <script src="https://s1.adform.net/banners/scripts/rmb/Adform.DHTML.js"></script>

  4. Click the Next button and adjust the Settings:
  5. When done, click the Save button in order to see the preview. If everything is fine, click the Submit button.
  6. Additional info

In order to deliver HTML5 banners fully compliant with the specs, follow the instructions on Producing HTML5 banners in Adform Test and Support Center.

The format requires an additional script to be loaded before the tag. In order to do that, navigate to the Tags section in the Adform system. Select the needed tag and click the “JavaScript URLS” button. Paste in the following custom script URL and tick the “Load before banner” check-box.

    Custom Script URL:
    //s1.adform.net/Banners/Elements/Files/12816/822144/alignLeft.js?bn=%%ADFTAGID%%;rnd=%%ADFRND%%
