Click to Fullscreen
Table of Contents
This is a very easy to use Click To Fullscreen Template.
User opens a webpage and sees the initial banner in the placement. On click, a floating ad unit is displayed in full screen mode. Full screen banner plays video and accommodates a link to the predefined landing page. The ad can be closed by clicking the “Close” button. The full screen can be called out as many times as the user clicks the initial banner.
The following items are to be delivered by a creative agency:
- Video player needs a MP4/WEBM format video (it is recommended to have more than one video file type).
- A poster for the video (video container will be black before playing the video if a poster is not provided).
- Backup image (PNG/JPEG), which will be displayed if a user's browser does not support HTML5.
- Banner assets containing manifest.json file and HTML file zipped together with images, scripts and other material.
NOTE: manifest.json file and HTML file should be in the root directory of the .zip file.
Customizing the banner
The file “index.html” can be adjusted to customize the banner components.
NOTE: In order to use Adform components for HTML, it is necessary to define global preloadQueue array, where you push all the wanted components to preload before script execution and to load Adform.DHTML.js
These are the Floating banner values that can be changed:
- "clicktag" - banner's landing page;
- "target"- banner's landing page target;
- "closeButton" - close button element;
- "clickArea" - clickable area element;
These are the video player's values that can be changed:
- "container" - id or class of an element where the video will be rendered;
- "clicktag"- video landing page;
- "target" - video landing page target;
By default, first two additional asset slots are reserved video files while the 3rd additional asset slot is reserved for video poster.
INFO: Please refer to the Video Player component for more detailed information on component setup and behavior.

- Click to full screen, “Close” button to collapse.
- Clicking on the full screen mode navigates to a landing page URL in a new window.
